Behavioral Science Principles for Practitioners
Thursday, July 22, 2021
We invite program leaders and staff of organizations working with low-income populations to join Ideas42 for this virtual event. Participants will get a general introduction to the field of applied behavioral science, including a selection of key psychological concepts, and will learn about how behavioral science offers novel approaches to program and policy design regarding issues like poverty and race. Participants will learn about Ideas42's evidence-based design principles outlined in the Poverty Interrupted white paper, including examples of how the principles have been applied to real-world service delivery. Participants will also learn about evidence-based interventions in racial equity, from ideas42's work and the broader field. Participants will be prompted to reflect on how to apply these insights to their own programs, and will be given opportunities to ask questions of the presenters.
